Boston Opera Collaborative New Production • Love in the Time of…
This production pairs one of the world’s most loved song cycles, Schumann’s Dichterliebe, with brand new commissions. Just as Robert Schumann’s Dichterliebe explores and explodes romantic ideals of the early 19th century, our newly composed cycle, Love in the Time of…, dwells on the possibility and impossibility of love amidst all the promise, the turmoil, the wonder and the heartache of the 21st century. The performed will be online, in addition to conversation with the composers, poets, singers and creative team this Spring 2021.
