The Massachusetts International Festival for the Arts (MIFA) invited Iván Enrique Rodríguez to be Composer-in-Residence for the 2019-2020 season. The festival commissioned Rodríguez’ Transmutación Inerte for Pierrot Ensemble. The piece will be premiered this summer by maestro Ng Tiang Hui and the Victory Players on the closing concerts of the festival in 2020. Rodríguez has been invited to participate in the closing weeks of the festival for lectures, rehearsal and the performances.

The concerts will includes works by Carlos Carrillo and Lilya Ugai in addition to the premiere of Transmutación Inerte.
