New York Festival of Song Features Rodríguez’ art song Alabaster Thread

The legendary New York Festival of Song, in which world renowned singers such as Julia Bullock, Stephanie Blyhe, Corinne Winters, Darius de Haas, Paul Appleby, Clarice Assad, Kate Soper, among others, will be featuring Rodríguez’ Alabaster Thread art song in its 2020-2021 season. After 30 years of making history with its unparalleled performances, and its meaningful and revolutionary programming, NYFOS will be offering the concert “9 UNDER 34: Composers Younger Than NYFOS.” This concert will feature “a compendium of songs by brilliant composers born after NYFOS’s first program.“ In this evening of songs, Rodríguez’ art song Alabaster Thread will be featured, sung by the award-winning baritone, described by Oberon’s Grove as having a great deal of very fine vocalism, Gregory Feldmann. He will be accompanied by the virtuoso pianist Nathaniel LaNasa, praised for his stormy lyricism (The New York Times), his poise and elegance and deft sense of precision (Feast of Music).

The concert will take place at the Kaufman Music Center Friday October 22nd at 7:00pmEST.
