The Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra gives the World Premiere of Rodríguez’ Las Puertas de Cuerno y Marfil
As part of the 2019-2020 Season of the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra, Iván Enrique Rodríguez’ symphonic poem Las Puertas de Cuerno y Marfil (The Gates of Horn and Ivory) will be performed under the baton of Maestro Maximiano Valdés. The concert, titled La Voz de las Calles en Composiciones de América (The Voice of the Streets in American Compositions) will feature Rodríguez’ world premiere alongside pieces by Juan Orrego, Manuel Calzada and Heitor Villa-Lobos. The concert will take place on March 7th, 2020, at the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra’s home, the acoustically extraordinary Pablo Casals Symphony Hall in the Centro de Bellas Artes Luis A. Ferré in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
